Make a Difference

Can you dare to make a difference in your society? can you dare to make a difference in your city? can you dare to make a difference in your school? can you dare to make a difference in your household?

The burden of change is huge.It controls the mind. Some people are born to change things, some are born to accept change, some are born to resist change.

I believe i was born to effect a change? the big question is how? How do i change my society ?

On a daily basis i see opportunities for change all around me.

The streets are full of young children hawking items , and begging, so that they can provide for their family.

At night, the street is flooded with young girls and women, selling their bodies just to make ends meet.

In the morning, the offices are full of men and women, thinking of how to embezzle public funds, just to make sure their family does not experience poverty.

All these are opportunities for change.

My challenge to you and to myself is to start a process of change. Join me in this challenge to change our society. Can we start something to cause a change?

Female Literacy

"Educate a woman and you educate a society" how true these words are. Reason being that the woman is the defacto maker of the home. A literate mother will surely raise her children to be literate, because consciously or unconciously she imparts her education, her beliefs and her culture to her children.

A thorough study of the Nigerian Society shows that a home where the mother is educated, breeds children who turn out responsible in the society.

Literacy in this sense is the ability to read and write and communicate in the formal language of the society. In the corporate world, Nigerian women have become leaders in business, politics, sports amongst other facets of life.

It is without doubt therefore that in order to improve the society and country at large, more women should be educated  especially in the rural areas.
